I got this idea from how we used to put playing cards in the spokes of our bikes as kids for sound effects. This baby makes quite a racket! I made it for the cards to be removed and replaced with balloons (tie through the holes) for a change of pace, deeper rumble sound…...Oh yeaaaaaa! Thats just three regular ping pong balls i captured inside the blades for good measure.
I suspect my son and his wife will be ready to kill me as soon as my grandaughter learns how to trot behind this thing. Heehee

Nice project, My 10 month old granddaughter is just starting to walk.
Where do you put the engine and will it be self propelled?

Smart Miles, getting them to practice early so when they are old enough they can cut the grass. You sly dog you.

Yea, you pretty much are a dead man walking. You know they are going to have a say so in your nursing home. I bet they pick on WITHOUT a on-site wood shop!!!!
I love it. I haven’t been blessed with grandkids yet, but I think I will make some of these to give away in the neighborhood. You know,”that crazy man with the tablesaw”? I got to keep up the image.

Fun project. Can a drum set and the 5000 piece Lego pack be far behind?

I love it! reminds me of that “pop ball” pushtoy I had when I was a kid. Loved to just hear the noise! I’ll bet she’s real happy with it!
