This is another after work special. I built this headboard to follow one that i spotted in a magazine a couple weeks ago. Its a king sized, and the mirror is two inch bevel. The bed was quick, i machined about 15 foot of the frame material. Next i cut and affixed all the miters. Then attached the legs. I lacquered it a cream color then glazed it for an, antiqued effect. I cut all the bevel to size, and my glass man beveled all the cut ends. I have a panel for it, but its in the process of being upholstered. I chose button tufting for this bed.

I think the cartouche at the top should go bye bye as it doesn’t appear to belong. Other then that it’s definately different. Thanks for sharing.

Can’t say I agree with above comment from kolwdwrkr, I think it will depend on the material on the panel. Also it doesn’t look good there because it blends with color of background container. You did a fine job on this and it should look very good when done. By the way, I was just in Palm Beach, I live in Edgewater, 20 miles south of Daytona, sorry I missed ya.

Thanks dan, and your right. The carved piece at the top it is detachable and ive looked at the bed both ways. It needs the carving to distinguish the top of the bed, give it some promance. I also give the buyer the option of removing it if they dont agree with my choice.
By the way dan, I live in Port St Lucie and i drive to Atlanta one a month. When i take 95 i drive right past edgewater. Good to see some fellow workers close.
