I liked cane #5 so much I thought I’d make a similar cane, because I had more wood. Had it going together when my good buddy Jeff came by and we got talking and he mentioned that he’d always wanted a cane with a lion head on it. Even though he doesn’t need a cane. Anyway, I looked at him with a stupid grin on my face and this is what happened. Was going to call it ” Jadbal’ja” after Tarzan’s golden lion. Well, that’s all the canes for now, have another in works but I don’t think I’ll do any faces for a while. They take too long. I don’t carve with knives. I use a dremel and files and sand paper for the shaping. Thanks for looking.

Freaking sweet! It took me a while to see the lion, but I think that’s because I’m fighting sleep. I’m really digging the cane stand. I think I’ll have to try my hand at a few of those now. Great job!

Nice work, did you turn the shaft or carve it?

Nicely done. I like the smooth shape and the mixture of woods. What are you using to hold it together?
