This is my first attempt at a bandsaw box. It is also my Mom’s birthday gift I gave her last month. I sandwiched mahogany between walnut for the blank. I made a template for half of the shape and traced it, then mirrored the template to get it symmetrical. I cut out the drawer in one cut, but should have cut off the bottom, then the sides and top, as it left a rounded gap in the lower right corner, but I just decided to call this a design element:) I finished it with spray lacquer and lined the drawer and inside of the box with stick-on felt. The pull is a bronze lamp cap nut. Mom loved her birthday present and I like how it turned out.
