35+1

Project by Beaverwood posted 285 days ago 690 views 1 time favorited 15 comments Add to Favorites Watch

This piece is Titled 35+1. It is sculptural by design however has a very utilitarian purpose. As seen here in the photos it looks non-objectively abstract. The key ingredient is “looks” because it also holds 36 bottles of wine. Every bottle angled just so in order that the cork stay wet. The purpose of the piece was to break out of the traditonal methods of building box like shapes and to incorporate free form design to enhance my abilities to produce a piece that will work both visually and functionally. In this case void of wine bottles or holding wine bottles the piece is aethstetically intriquing.

You’ve got to post a pic with it full of bottles. I’d love to see what it looks like.

I have to hit up some local booze joints for some wine bottles. I had 36 bottles then got rid of them in one of several moves. I look foward to loading again, its been awhile and can be tricky like a fun puzzle.
