Maple Bar

Project by Chris Davis posted 289 days ago 481 views 0 times favorited 1 comment Add to Favorites Watch

This is a bar that was complete in June 2005. It was built for a customer that combined a couple different pictures they found. They like the overall design no one, but the legs on another. This project was made from maple with a custom stain finish. It is protected with several coats of pre-catalyzed lacquer.

Because of it’s enormous size, I built it to be broke down for transportation. I had the back panel, bar top, and the legs all separate pieces. I am glad I did it that way because it tuned out larger than the customer expected it to be. Once they got it in the house, it overwhelmed everything else. Because of how I made the connecting points on the back panel, I could cut it down fairly easy.

Here are a few building pictures:
The leg.
The back panel.
The up side down bar top with legs.

This is gorgeous… well done.
