FLOWER-POWER HIKER, laminated pine

Just a new direction with my boot carving exploits, painting and decorating. The wood for the boot blank was some laminated pine shelving. I was unhappy with the end grain distribution so I decided to experiment with paint and pencil crayons. The idea of a floral pattern on a hiking boot has been floating in my mind for some time now. Had to try it and the ‘Flower-power hiker’ is the result.

My painting skills are limited but I hope to improve in the future.

Enjoy!

Roman, What a fantastic idea and end result.
I love it. Congratulations.
I wouldn’t worry about your painting skills, that adds to the overall effect, makes it look more authentic.
Thank you for sharing with us.

Bob.

Nice Roman. I always get a kick out of your work. :-)
What’s next …. maybe some marquetry boots?
