What started out to be a easy job..my fault..it turned into almost a 2 day project. I found plans simple enough if I just followed ther instructions! But, I wanted it made for what I needed so that’s where the time when into days. I added a tool holder on the back. Pencil holder for lots of pencils, a pencil sharpener, which I drilled a hold to hold it in place and can be taken out to empty. Also the container for the blades. I didn’t drill all of the holes until I know if I need them I can do it later. I added some pieces that where from a broken holder for a broom on a door, leaving the rubber parts so the cord won’t be damaged when placed. Then I added my ruler and that is on the front end. I also hate fighting with cords…so before I screwed the saw into place I drilled a hole and the cord mess is gone. (I love that part!) The base I did differant as I wanted this also to be movable. I had a triangle rack, added the bottom board and fitted the boards to the bottom of the rack. Also, I got a bit fancy..I put pegs over the screws when I added the triangle pieces in the middle and on top of the counter also has pegs. I didn’t add a light..can move it under one of the shop ones.
Well, this was alot of fun and another machine on wheels!

Nice, simple, clean, functional look. Sometimes we lose track of that, but often it’s the best way. Nice job.

Where did you find the plans at? I could use a stand like that: I like the mobility factor.

I had these wheels..no locks. I really don’t need it as I have places I can have against something to keep from chasing it around. I found the free plans on http://www.woodstore.net/shopbases.html
3rd group of pics down. There is always those tools you don’t use all the time and it’s great to wheel them out of the way. So far, I haven’t thought of anything I could have added. Looks great and functional. Did think of putting a bundgy cord around the pencils…LOL Wonder how long those will stay there. Thanks for the comments.

On the pencil issue, how about drilling the hole all the way through the board, then glue in a piece of copper pipe with a pipe cap at the bottom, or you could use conduit and plug the bottom somehow, maybe with a cork plug.
