Indian jug—Mostly Mesquite which was brought home in limbs and chuncks from a pasture in Yoakum,Texas.Tree had lived its life as a shade for the cattle.Land owner said remove it and that is what happened.
Jug is 12” tall and 13 1/2” wide.98 pieces—Mesquite,Center Ring is Plywood,Mesquite and Poplar.Top Ring is 48 pieces—Pecan,Purple Heart and Walnut.Crushed Tourquiose fills the worm holes.Finish is lacquer.Took 7 weeks for completed project. Not counting time to render the lumber from the limbs and chuncks of Mesquite.and of course the time and travel to get the “FREE” lumber.Chain saw really got a work-out.Guess that’s what keeps an old man in shape.

Wow, lots of dedication to a plan. I think you ended up with a real treasure, with a cool story. Nice endeavor.
