nesting boxes

This started out as “I wonder what would happen if I ” glue this up and – well you know.
It turned out to be 3 strips of aromatic cedar and 2 pieces of 3/4” plywood glued up and then off to the band saw.
After cutting the initial shape I decided then to make nesting boxes because of the obvious block of ‘could be scrap’ removed from the center.
That center then became the second box and fortunately, I was on good terms with my band saw that day because sanding was minimal.
They evidently are now part of the family because my wife has taken custody and they are not part of our craft show inventory.
Thanks for looking -

Pretty boxes. No wonder she took them away. I guess I forgot to tell you about finding a hiding place. You are my glue up king. Keep on having fun.

Very interesting experiment, produced a very unique and beautiful pair of boxes.
