So this is my first entry. I’m just a fledging woodworker with zero training. I’m learning as I go here. My better half was wanting a stand for cookbooks for in the kitchen. My skills have been slowly improving and I decided to try and surprise her with a homemade gift for her birthday. It is far from perfect but she loves it!

I take no credit for the design, I largely copied the design by Froggy with just a couple subtle changes to suit. The wood used is basswood and cherry.

Looks great does that! Certainly has a professional quality about it. I always think handmade gifts are a winner!

Well done,
Garry

Welcome to Lumberjocks. Very nice work … and when you please your wife, you’re doing a good thing.
