Someone I work with liked the nightstands so much that they paid me to build them a set of endtables. This is the first project that I built after buying a Fuji HVLP spray gun. All I can say is wow, it was worth every penny. Again, all mortise and tenon joinery.

Wonderful work. Spraying finish for the first time must have provided a bit of a pucker factor. Especially after all the fine woodwork. Thanks for sharing!

Nice tables. I have sprayed for years with the old style guns. I now have a HVLP gun. That stands for High Volume Low Pressure. It sprays at 25 pounds with little overspray. You have to have a regular compressor. The woodworking Mags. have them. Porter Cable Have them for under 50 bucks. They have they the tank on top. The dediecated sprayers are much higher and put out a lot of heat. which is a concern here in Fl. I can’t remember how big a compressor you need to put out enough air. The mags will tell you. This is the way to go because of the money concerns and with something seating around taking up space. I hope you can use thius info.

Very nice! I’m working on a similar table right now, but I left the side slats out ‘cause they intimidated me. :-)

Nice tables … looks like you did a great job …
I don’t have much experience spraying, but will be getting a system later this summer and the pics gave me a great idea for a new layout idea for my shop! Thanks!

Great job Iowa. Those are great looking tables.
You should do a write up on your experience with the HVLP sprayer. Many of us are looking at them, and it would be nice to have some experience to learn from.

Thanks for the comments everyone!
Bill, great idea for creating a review of the HVLP sprayer, I think I’ll make that my first blog entry. I’ve tried both compressor and turbine versions so I can compare the two.

Great looking tables. I’ve done spraying for years using both reguar and HVLP. The HVLP are better.
