Entry table

Years ago a great uncle of mine who lived in Oregon gave me a slab of walnut shown on the top of this entry table. I forgot I even had the piece. He has long since passed, but the slab sanded down to a very nice piece of wood. It had some spalting on one side of the slab so I found some spalted maple that had some of the same colors. I also ran across some very nice walnut for the legs and drawer fronts that seemed to match up nicely. I did a little inlay work on the fronts of the legs and the drawer fronts interchanging maple and walnut to accent the boards. It sits in our entry and is a nice reminder of a nice gift someone gave me that took over 15 years to convert into something special.

That’s a nice table. Can you add a picture of the draw (or is it two draws?) partly open? How have you captured the draws?

It has three drawers. When I get a chance I’ll add some pictures with the drawers open.
