Here is the first project I built when I first got my new shop together. Its a butcher block cutting island built from pine. Its 23”x17”x36”. The stain was Minwax Puritan Pine finished with 3 coats of their high gloss Poly.

Sorry I don’t have more pictures I was in a time crunch, to deliver before Thanksgiving, and I was only able to get the pictures I have.

I like the Butcher Block! I am gonna have to build me one for my shop. My shop is a combination of many names, wood, project, storing, tool, and my kitchen from spring-fall. I could use this when I cook BBQ. Good Job.

I think you may find that the doors will swell and jam themselves shut. I tried a similar design with doors several years ago. Hope your luck is better than mine.

Thanks guys.

Sounds like you have a multipurpose room, Slick.

Kansas, I accomodated for that when I was making the doors, I left a little bit of space between them and I guess you could call the jambs.

Have your say...
