This is the second bowl I turned and the third spoon I carved. Neither are perfect, but they made an excellent learning project and gift for a friend.

Looks GREAT for just starting turning! I’m also pretty new at the lathe, but I practice almost daily to get better.

I really love the bowl. One thought of the Salt part of it. I have made several and you should think about a lid in the future so the open salt will not soak up the moisture in the air.
Keep on turning since it is the most fun I have ever done. :)
