These are two more birdhouses made from logs. The roofs are cedar shingles. They have windows with copper wire ‘grates’, and a variety of decorations.

How about showing/telling us how you hollowed out the inside?

First the top is cut to an angle, then a ‘slice is removed from the top and bottom. This is done by my husband with a chainsaw. These logs were too big for my bandsaw. Then the center is hollowed out with a drill and chisels. Then I measure the inside so I know what size hole to drill and put it back together and have fun with it.
