I made this for my brother out of a scrap piece of 8/4 cherry, and walnut scraps. I wanted to to be anchored to the stud behind the drywall with screws, but didn’t want to use a french cleat, since I was afraid of it lifting off when the guitar was picked up. So I made some wood capped threaded rod sections to thread in to tapped holes in the body of the holder that also contained the screws. pinned leather covers all areas that the guitar will touch, and the finish is boiled linseed oil.
