This room hold the two 40’s display cabinets. These two jobs were also installed around the same time. First the three faux bamboo archways. These were fairly difficult because of the length of the archways. The center arch is the longest spanning almost 98 inches. The two smaller side arches only span 70 inches. We traced the paters onto 1/8 mdf and used them as the template. We then drew the pattern onto the mdf and proceeded to cut poplar to size. the vertical slats were glued and screwed to the arch, then spacers were cut and nailed into place. Our specially painted bamboo was then cut to size and glued over the lacquered poplar sub frame.
The next two pictures are of the vaulted ceilings in this room. Their 18 foot high so detail in the picture is non existent. We cut boxes to go inside the vaults and also affixed the faux bamboo. This established a theme, or so the decorator said…..by the way this is a several million dollar house in the Ritz Carlton subdivision, and i personal think they’ve decimated an otherwise beautiful home with their crazy color schemes. I’ll take some more pictures the next time we install something their.
