My first wooden spheres with my home made sphere turning jig. The bigger one is walnut and the smaller on is maple.I posted a quick YouTube video of the jig in action.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mus0hbYRDJg

Nice, just like a ball end tool on a metal lathe.

Nice.

Brilliant Brian, great looking spheres and I really like the idea of your jig. Will have a look at ytube later today, it is early morning down under. I reckon every wood turner dreams of turning a perfect sphere. Thanks for sharing.

i don’t know why, but i love wood spheres… did anyone catch the episode of Mythbusters when they polished a turd into a ball?

These are beautiful. I haven’t seen one of those devices before.
