Here are a few more pictures of the “model house”...besides the sheer fun of building it I guess I was using the experience to “practice” some of the things I had been reading about regarding building houses “full size”...things like how to layout the various pieces of a house (sole plates, foundation walls, studs, rafters, window and door framing, etc.
The pictures here show how I tried to construct a “staircase” from the bottom floor to the second…(I have certainly found out one thing…woodworking required a really good understanding of math and especially geometry” lots of angles…ha ha
The second picture is of the “dozen or so” working windows (plus shutters) I included…each window was assembled, from scratch…when I pulled one of them out and actually counted…there were thirty wood pieces, two plexiglass, and 4 metal hinges…At the time of building this project I never thought each of the windows would be a “complete project” all to themselves…
Third picture is showing two of the dormer window frames included in the plan…Was just trying to teach myself how to do that kind of framings…again, lots of compound jack stud and rafters…
Final picture: could not have built this without Dremel!!! The four inch table saw and drill press worked wonders (on all the “scale” lumber)...
I’ve got some more pictures of this project I’ll include with my next blog…you’ll see I added a few more details and “started” to paint it….THAT’S when I moved on to my next project…painting has never been a favorite past time…maybe I could find some Lilliputian painters…LOL
Hope you enjoy these and the further description in my blog…

As a former Dremel Rep, I’m happy to see the good old 4” Dremel Table saw being used by someone else but me, these days.
