Arched Mirror

When I moved into my first house in August 2002, my first purchase was a 57” TV… my 2nd purchase was a table saw, and I started building….

So my dad had some old hand rails from an office of his. REALLY nice oak. I still have some pieces left over, and now that I know what the hell I’m doing, I wish I waited to make something out of them. They were 1.5” x 8” x 15’ long. I think I had 4 of them. Really tight grained, heavy oak.

But instead, I milled them down and made 2 projects. The first was this arched mirror that still hangs in my dining area.

Back then I detailed almost every cut. For those pictures, please see

Very nice. I made a mantel that looks very similar to the shelf on your mirror. Made it for a fake fireplace that is now a plant repository…but the owner really liked it and it still resides in the same place.
