So I had some 2×4,leftover and I wanted to make use of them so I decided on these candle holders…..

Each piece is 17” long, 3.5” wide and the holes I made are 2” in diameter…

Hope you like!!!!!

For such a simple design the results are very pleasing to the eye. An oil finish or a slightly darker dye and varnish would look great on these IMO.

The holes are quite large for those candles which I gather you already know, a 40mm/1 37⁄64” forstner bit fits tea-light candles perfectly.

Not all tea candles are the same size. I used a 1 5/8” bit to fit the better candles. The cheap little ones work in a 1 1/2” hole.
