This is an open box, made specifically to hold large utensils. Made from curly hickory with cherry keys. Currently only oiled with walnut oil, but once it’s cured out some, it will have a wipe-on poly finish.

Very nice. Did you use the Kehoe jig for the splines?

Oh man that is some beautiful Hickory … and as it ages it will get even more beautiful with black streaks in it.
I like the looks of the dove tail splines, ... nice touch

Very nice and some beautiful wood that I wish i had available .
Love the dove tail keys much nicer then corner splines to look at .
