This is a beautiful piece. As a non-carver I have always admired those to whom this talent has been gifted. This is one of the finest examples of carving and intarsia that I have had the privilege to see. I am sure that your daughter will adore this gift, which undoubtedly will be a family heirloom.

I decided to join Lumber Jocks just to be able to post on your work of art. I just wish I had the vision and skills to make such a beautiful piece. Marco, I am about one week in this site and since I saw this project I look at it again and again every day, It is so nice, the colors are beautiful, you carved details so realistic like the broken pieces of wood on the roof or the tiles which are moved from the original place. It is so alive. I am very excited to see it.

Eli, thanks for noticing the ruined roof in the house of the first plane. Actually it was hard to me trying to bring this impression of a broken roof, because most people probably will watch it as a misassembled part of the job. My intention was to give an ancient appearance to the house, showing broken glasses in the windows, a door in very bad conditions, etc.
It’s good when some one watch and “see” what we tried to show.
