My mother-in-law remodeled her bathroom and after completing decided she needed a utility/linen closet. She asked if I could make her one and of course I said yes. The hard part was that I hoped to build and stain to match her store bought vanity, but it was next to impossible for someone with my experience. So, I built it out of poplar and decided to paint. The good thing about painting though was that I got to build my first raised panel doors using my tablesaw and the paint will hide some of those little things that didn’t work perfect. Hopefully she want even notice. The cabinet won’t match the other exactly, but hopefully it will complement that corner of her “new” bathroom.

Nice piece, clean lines, well designed and built. She’ll get years of use and good feelings from that talent of yours. Lots of points in your favor from that one. Excellent.

Nice cabinet. I am building a vanity now to remodel a bath and have planned to include a Shaker inspired “chimney cabinet” in the bath redo. This cabinet is very like what I want to do. Don’t look now but I just stole some ideas from you!
