Last summer I built these steps from cutoffs and pieces left over from a deck built of Trex on the second floor at the end of my friend’s home in Juneau. I wanted to give him a unique design that would be both pleasing to the eye and blend somewhat with the cobblestone sidewalk poured along the beach side of the house .
There were four entrys along this walkway and this design sure used up all the scraps and left overs. The framework and steps were all fastened with #10 X 3in. screws. All edges were softened with a 3/8’s round over bit.

You did a fine job… the blend you achieved with the sidewalk is terrific. It looks great…

Alistair Trex is a composite decking material with superb weatherization properties. Its taking the place of many pressure treated and water resistant woods as a decking material.
Steps look great Tom.
