These are really rough – but I learned a lot in my class today. I can certainly see why turning can be addictive. I think this will be a great change from making square things for me.

Thanks for looking.

The look good Betsy. Be careful though, you may turn into a world class turner.

Betsy, these are great! I haven’t tried my luck on a lathe yet, but I’d be willing to bet that mine wouldn’t turn out as good as these… Thanks for posting them!

Looks like you’re off to a great start Betsy! You’ll be up to “Trifern” level before you know it.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the support. I can only hope to be on “Trifern” level – but I’ll aspire to it!

Betsy,

Those look great, especially for your first turnings. Keep up the good work.

Debbie – the scoop is basically a narrow bowl with the edge cut off on the bandsaw. It’s pretty fun to make.

Love the turnings, plus they should make usefull kitchen items.

I have to agree with others, I got so addicted to turning that I had to sell my lathe. I couldnt tear myself away from the lathe to get other stuff done.

Thanks for posting
