Another piece of furniture my Dad and I made years ago to furnish my small apartment when I moved out of the house. The top sure has darkened since then. This project is where I learned mortise and tenon joinery and how to use a taper jig. The top is cherry and the legs are poplar painted gloss black with satin clear over.

I agree with CJ- The simple elegance of Shaker furniture makes it my favorite, too.
