I made this plant stand for my wife out of two five foot 10/4 Cherry planks that I found under an old barn on her parents farm. The entire plank was curly stress wood. The first time I cut it, it bent like a banana. It took a while to mill the components. I had to cut everything way oversized and then joint it..and then joint it again and again. Fortunately it was plenty dry so any movement would pretty much take place right when it was cut. It was my first attempt at doing compound angle mortise & tenon’s. It was an enjoyable project to build.

Loogie, I can appreciate what you’re describing about working with twisting, bowing, winding parts and the work necessary to make them usable. Especially when makeing angled joinery for the first time. Congratulations on over coming it all and building a very nice table in the process. Very neat entry!
Sincerely,
