My sharpening station. I wanted a place to leave my stones out. I am working in a two car garage. I made it so it could be folded flat so I can still park inside if I choose too. (Rare) 3/4” Red oak plywood, and a 2×4 for trim. All scraps I had laying around. Cheap hinges from the big box store. I don’t have any pics with my stones on it.

Seems like a good solution.

Superb idea with simple construction. Like it a lot.

Hi Core2, Really great idea!!!! Looks good and very practical and saves space and is there when you need it. I have recently done almost the same thing, only difference mine doesn’t fold away like yours…. I had a corner of the shop where it would squeeze in out of the way. I like your idea and project very much!!! Great Minds think Alike!!!!

Regards,

Cliff.

Thanks Everyone. I am really glad I took the time to make it. It helps out a lot to have the dedicated space to sharpen. The only bad thing about it is it becomes a catch all. If there is empty space my wife will place something on it. So I still have to move something out of the way often.

Have your say...
