Here is a project I just finished for my wife. It is 18 1/2” wide 14” deep and 50 1/2” tall . she wanted one to match our bedroom furniture. it is made from solid cedar all but the back and the drawer bottoms, those are 1/4” birch ply. it has several coats of satin lacquer

Beautiful piece ! ... I built a chest like this for my mom (without the bottom three drawers) and she loved it like I’m sure your wife does …. Hopefully you don’t also have to fill it !

griff,
What a beautiful Armoire. The cedar is gorgeous as always. Looks like an excellent finish also. I’m sure the wife has to be happy with this one! Man you sure do have a lot of jewelry to buy. I mean you’re not gonna hang bandsaw blades or table saw blades in those side compartments are ya’.-LOL griff excellent work as usual, you just keep crnking ‘em out! Take care.

Sincerely,
Ken McGinnis

Griff, this is absolutely beautiful. As a rule, I;m not that crazy about cedar, but in this piece it is perfect. The finish looks great, too.

Great piece, Griff. It appears to be as functional as it is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

I joined this page because I love this and I have to have one! I have looked all over for one of these in red cedar – also to match a bedroom. I’m a newbie and it won’t let me send you a message. I was wondering if you make these to sell? Could you please try to send a message to me? Perhaps including your email address so we can trade information? I didn’t want to post mine here in public view.

I also joined this page because I love this and I have been searching for one! My oldest sister is turning 50 this year and the only thing she wants is a cedar jewerly armoire to match her furniture, which like mine, is all cedar. There used to be a company in Tenessee that made them, but they’ve stopped. There are none anywhere that I have been told might have one. I even called Pennsylavania in the hopes that the Amish might make them. No LUCK! I’m also a newbie and it won’t let me send you a message. I hope that you make these to sell? Could you please try to send a message to me? Perhaps including your email address so we can trade information?

That is one beautiful Armoire.
I’ve actually been looking around for some plans to build one myself for my mom.
And i was wondering if i could buy these plans off of you?
