Made with Rauli Beech salvaged from the banks of the Maule River after the tsunami which hit Constitucion, Chile on the 27th of February 2010.

The wood for this table comes from the old buildings that were damaged and destroyed as a result of the disaster. Found washed up over time on the river bank. This wood inspired the creation of the mosaic table top , the various wood types representing the multitude of people affected by the catastrophe. The rustic form of this piece and the iron supports represent the strength of the inhabitants of this area.

Thanks Greg, the workshop was a bit of a mess so I carried it down to the beach, thought it brought out the best of the driftwood. Didnt half get some weird looks from the people on the beach though!!!
