I took a class last weekend at Woodcraft in Sarasota on Bandsaw boxes. This is the project I made in the class. The box is bloodwood and the pulls are ebony. The box was cut on a bandsaw (duh) and the pulls are 2 pieces of a heart cut in half on a scroll saw. Finished with 2 coats of Danish Oil the 1st coat was sanded in with 220 grit and the 2nd coats with 320 grit.
Thanks for looking.

If you don’t mind giving away your secrets, where are the entry points for the blade, and how did you hide them so well?

marc I don’t mind at all…. give me a bit and I will take some close ups and point out the entry points…. I did some creative clamping to close the saw kerf back up…..

Thanks a lot, that’s a really nice looking box. My main complaint bout bandsaw boxes is that the entry kerf is usually visible.
The extra work you put into that really bumps the box into another level.
