Made this coin rack this weekend for a friend of mine.

It holds about 28 coins.

I used 8/4 ambrosia maple for the body, joined/planed it, then I glued walnut to the ends.

Made a jig to set the board at an angle to run through the planer.

After a lot of tearout, i cleaned up the ends. sanded and cut a 1/4” dado 1” apart through the entire length.

Sanded and then stained with early american by minwax.

My first coin rack, just went down and bought some rosewood to try and do 2 more this weekend, cant wait!
