This is my wife’s steamer trunk I built for her about 7 years ago. The top is two pieces of 3/4” oak plywood cerfed every 1/4”. The dimensions are in the neighborhood of 40” long x 20” tall x 18” deep. This is fairly light considering its size. I built it out of plywood after having built a friend a flat top version of the same thing only a little smaller out of 3/4” oak 9 years ago. The smaller flat topped trunk was for a friend and “she” was headed to college for her first year of education. Well….... it was a wee bit heavy for her but she loved it hehe.

As I was looking at it I said to myself that its too tall. Than I starting thinking of our bed and as we get older I’m going to need a small ladder to get up into today beds. That said the height is just right for the newer beds. This would look great in our bedroom. So if its too large for your room you can sent it to me in Florida. I would take very very good care of it.
The wood selection is perfect and the brass corners and lock would fit well with our brass trunk type end table we now have.
Thanks for taking the time to show your wonderful talents.
