This is a Hope Chest that I built about a year and a half ago for my Favorite Little Girl’s 17th Birthday. The chest is all Cherry except the bottom which is unfinished Aromatic Cedar. This was my first time using Dovetail Joinery. The only metal in the chest is hinges and lock. No screws or nails. (Please note: The writing on the heart has been intentionally edited out).

I “hope” she enjoys it for years to come. Great job, I really like it.

Very nice, I made my daughter one too. Hopefully your daughter loves it as much as mine does.

Very nice work, Chris. I have a soft spot in my heart for any project built for our children. (I’ve done a few for my young-uns also.) But that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate the craftsmanship in what you’ve done. Beautiful!
