First Project, ain’t perfect…
I built this shelf based upon one that was beside my bed offshore on the rig. I made it just a bit bigger to accommodate my magazines. It turns out that my newborn baby needed worse because I put it on a high adjustable shelf bracket.
1”x12”x6’ Made to fit a magazine inside with 3 inches on each side. No attached shelf brackets. The bottom & top was put together with screws. I left them showing on the bottom and plugged the screw holes on top with cut dowels. I rounded the corners (not perfectly) with a router. The stain is another story. My friend said I could use his stain. It’s made with paint thinner & roofing tar. More tar, the darker & therefore the opposite, well you get the picture.
Despite the looks, I like it.
