Well, I guess you can call this a metal working project to help out with my woodworking projects.
I recieved my new Grizzly G0586 8” jointer Friday. I had to meet the truck on the highway and slide it off into my truck and then wait until after dark to get some to help me get it in my shop. I have been so sick that I havn’t got a chance to put it together yet but I did manage to take some angle iron that was either found or someone gave me, some caster’s I’ve had for a long time and a can of green spray paint left over from one of my grandson’s school projects and fabicate me a pretty nice set of dolly’s for it when I do get it together. A friend is going to bring his cherry picker and help me when I get to feeling a little better. I believe it’s going to work just fine, and the price was right. Later on I may add some leveler’s or just use some oak wedge’s. It only raised the jointer about 1/2” higher than without it.
The radial arm saw I have on ebay is ending tonight if anyone is interested.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=170295520212
I also have a new 7” Groz quick release vise and a new Grizzly tenoning jig I need to sell if anyone is interested. Just send me a message thru LJ.

A nice looking stand. I had to replace my wheels a couple of times because the weight of the Jointer kept the wheels from turning. It was hard to move it around the shop. It took some big casters to work in my shop.
