A few years back I made one of these from a modified copy of T&J plans. This one is from memory of that build since I am working in Russia right now. It is not as detailed as I would like, but I have a limited tool inventory here. A few novel things here. The grill is is a arc suppressor from a 225 amp Sq D breaker. A few “store bought” accessories were also necessary. Some wood came from home, some from here, not a lot of hardwoods here, but they have the best carving wood ” lepa” [basswood] I have ever carved. The seat is carved from it.

Very nice, I am aways amazed about detailed and cool these truck are built.

-- While teaching a class, a gentlemen once asked me: "When chip carving an intricate design, what do you do when you are almost finished and the wood breaks off?" I replied "Cover the kids ears."

Back in truck business.

Well done.

I like the truck but more than that all the small stuff.

BTW I must admit that I find itoys more enjoyable than carving. Sorry.

Great work and lots of nice details. Coincidentally I was watching a carving video by a Russian yesterday and I commented to my wife how good his Basswood looked. Our Basswood here (Linde) varies a lot in quality, but I’m just glad I can get hold of it.

Thanks folks, the worst part is the bottle painting. 4-5 times per bottle.
