Desk

Project by prill369 posted 306 days ago 777 views 1 time favorited 10 comments Add to Favorites Watch

This is what I would call my first major project.

The drawers are solid oak and walnut with silent stop slides. I had to make the handles myself because…well I felt like trying it. 8)

The whole desk is particle core with oak veneer and solid walnut trim.

The desk is made from three cabinets that fit together with cleats, so if I ever need to move it to another room or out of the house it will be easier to carry in the smaller parts.

Also no more having to move the whole desk just to plug something in.
As you can see in the pics the center panel opens for easy access to the cords(my secret compartment), the panel opens between the walnut trims so you can’t tell its a door.

Nicely done. I really like your cord management solution. I’ll have to remember that if I build a computer desk in the future.

A real nice build. I especially am appreciative of the handles. A great idea which I might steal in the future. with your permission, of course.

Excellent job. I really like the panel that hides the cords.
