This is a bingo money barrel I made for Mary Lou. I don’t know what kind of wood it is but it is tight grained and had a few cracks. they were filled with turquoise and epoxy. I added some shot of the tuning process.

It is finished with clear gloss lacquer.

I also made her daughter one and they both won on Wed. Night Bingo!

Super cool! I like how you stained the rings first and than turned it. Looks like the weather is nice. Supposed to warm up into the 50-60s here in Indiana next week…..finally!! Good job on the bingo things!!

Feel sure that is dogwood. I have done several pieces with dogwood and it looks like what you have posted. Its bad to crack so its not an idea wood for me.

Nice barrels Jim. I hope these are a lucky charm. I made a few the past couple days. I like how you hollow out the top. Maybe you should make yourself a huge one and win it all at bingo.

Maybe you should sell some on those at Bingo night. They might bring good luck to alot of people. Very nice looking.
