Framed and installed six 4×8 whiteboards for the office (we’re programmers, we love whiteboards). Simple pine 1×3 with a 1/8” deep rabbet so the whiteboard floats. No corner joinery so the ends can be removed to slide out the whiteboard if needed.

Added a 45deg bevel on bottom rail to hold markers.

Surfacing secret: use Turtle Wax paste.

You mean you buy the cheap Turtle wax at Wal-Mart and apply it to the whiteboard? (Since you’re talking about the frame and all it wasn’t totally clear).. Cool! I’ll get some!
