This box came from a Doug Stowe book, “Basic Box Making.” Walnut sides, oak ply bottom, quilted maple top and ash keys. I made five of these for Christmas gifts, it would have been six but brain-farted in the process and ruined one… but hey, ya gotta break some eggs, right? -- All the test cuts in the world won't stop you from cutting the outside when you meant to cut the inside. doh!

Nice looking boxes.
Yeah, me too re. the eggs. That’s why I try to make an extra or two. If no broken eggs, then I can sell them to recoup some of the cost, or keep for myself. Actually, most broken eggs now become design changes. :D
