Miter Saw Station

Project by Tony Mirabella posted 310 days ago 1668 views 0 times favorited 6 comments Add to Favorites Watch

This is my miter saw station that I completed last weekend. I honestly don’t use my miter saw a whole lot since I got the table saw, but I still needed a) somewhere to put the saw and b) more counter space in my 2 car garage shop. The auxiliary fences are bolted to the top with 3/8” star knobs & t-nuts so I can remove them when I don’t need them and make use of the counter space (read: have more space to pile junk on).

I had originally wanted a more Norm-esque setup, but decided to keep it simple and cheap, but still functional. With this arrangement, I can add cabinets or drawers when I need/can afford to. It would also be very easy to modify it to accept a new miter saw. All built out of 2×4’s with MDF & hardboard for the top.

Disclaimer: Please don’t laugh at my B&D miter saw. Its adequate. I’m sensitive. =)

Not sure you know this but it is my believe that electrical code requires you have a 3×3 foot space clear in front of the electrical panel for service and emergency service access.

And you should be able to have the ability to add cabinets and such…I don’t have one…the tool or the stand…and wish I did…I’m seeing real purpose in a miter saw these days.
