had some cut off s of ash laying around after making the rocker
so i made this to use some of it up it was fun turning it
i have some more pieces and i will turn some more
it s is 7 inch wide 3 1/2 inch with out the lid with the lid
it s 6 inch tall it s finished with 3 coats of sand and seal
and pure bees wax that i got from a friend he keeps
bees for a hobby the hone is very nice too

Very nice Mate, almost looks like a flying saucer.
Love the grain in that Ash.

Nice looking bowl. We have a 100 or so Ash trees here on the farm. Maybe its time to cut and use them.

Nice job Branch, with the lid I think more of a box than bowl.
Don’t forget that ash comes up really great with some liming wax to show up the grain

I like it. Reminds me of some of the candy dishes I made. I like the shape of the lid and how you rounded out the bottom.

thanks for all your great comments
mike if i had ash growing on my land
i would harvest some of them
ash is a great wood you can use it to make any thing
it makes great furnisher
peteg i never used liming wax
but i will look into it
