This is a challenge myself ,Nick ferry and Ted Alexander thought of and we invited a bunch of youtube woodworkers to join in and make a kitchen related project video and this is what I came up with.
Made of walnut with some maple this is my banana guillotine with a place for a bowl

Do a little fret saw work on the left side of the blade down at the bottom, and you can call it the Vegas Guillotine, for those folks who are sharkin’ on the cards.
