Tried something new. Glued up plywood, Cherry, and Walnut scraps to turn this vase. Turned it about 1/8” thick. Some spots are translucent. Maybe the next one I will make thinner to make it all see through and put an LED light source inside. I think it turned out well. Comments welcome.

Nice job.
What size is it?
And did you have any problems when the gouge went from the walnut to the plywood?

Thanks. It’s 4 1/2” tall. Not too much trouble going from ply to walnut/cherry , just keep a firm hand and sharp tools. I was surprised how easy it hollowed.
