Pretty cool! Is that striping in the wood or in the finish?

I’m sure she loves it. The girls seem to get real attached to their toy boxes [I started to say “chests” instead of toy box but that didn’t sound quite right (-: ]. I made colonial style one for my daughter 38 years ago and it is still precious to her.

The striping is in the wood. I bought the wood 2 years ago and forgot what kind of wood they said it was.

LesB, I would like to see the toy box you made for your daughter if you have any pictures.

The box I made my daughter is in Calif. I will see if I can get her to take a picture and forward it. It has seen some hard use (-; You can view the Myrtle wood one I made for a granddaughter in my projects. It is not a colonial style however; I have moved on to finer quality wood and dovetail joints.
