I made this block plane out of maple and walnut, it is 6” long and 2” wide.
I made the iron out of 1 1/2” wide O1 tool steel. Then rubbed in a couple of coats of linseed oil.

Nice! Maple and Walnut together, one of my favorites. Looks like that will be very comfortable in the hand.
