If you have looked at my projects you already know I like secret hiding places. So here goes again with a walnut segmented bowl with a spalted maple feature ring. What, where is the secret? Just look at the pics. What good is this, I don,t know but I have been thinking of this for a while so have now made it. Thinking of leaving the $100 in it and offering it for sale (without showing the money) for $100 so see if anyone will believe me that is worth at least $100. If they do and buy it they will get the bowl for free and I get my $100 back. Silly I guess but I have fun with stuff like this. Whata ya think?

I really like your work.

I have not done segmented work yet but practicing tho.

Mostly I teach Vets to turn their own pens for 3 years now and can not keep up with the kits so started small bowls, vases, and boxes. I will not show them segmented stuff incase they ask me. lol

Does the asking price include shipping to Ohio ?

You warned me and I knew you had something up your sleeve err bowl but I didn’t expect this.

Very Nice and like most of your work, outside the box (bowl) thinking

Sharp looking bowl Vernon. Just enough spalted maple to accent the walnut. I’ll give you $75.00 for it.

Very clever. Love it

Now that is a nice hiding place. Maybe a larger bowl could be a nice place for a house defender. (firearm)

Great job! I have always preferred the “hidden in plain sight” approach. Burglars would pass this by in their hunt for valuables, but it makes a good place to stash some emergency cash. Although I can imagine a small fortune going for $1 at a garage sale if someone forgets the secret. :) Thanks for sharing (I hope no burglars are looking at this website.)

I like your $100 idea. The bowl isn’t bad either.

Nicely done with the segmenting. I am scared to try something like that yet. Maybe someday. Beautiful bowl.
